Alto Saxophone Grades 1-2 is full of fun pieces in all sorts of styles, including ‘Banana Boat Song’ (traditional), ‘Can Can’ (Offenbach), Theme from ‘The Teddy Bears’ Picnic’, and ‘Coconut Calypso’ and ‘Chinese Take it Away’ by Pam Wedgewood. Music includes dynamics, articulation, metronome markings and performance directions. The pieces get gradually harder through Up-Grade! Alto Saxophone, so you can make a gradual progression from grade 1 towards grade 2.

Play solo or with a friend!

There is a pull-out accompaniment part in Up-Grade! Alto Saxophone Grades 1-2, and two duets to play with your friends on the saxophone - playing with others is an important skill that will improve your listening and musical playing, which will be very useful for your grade 2 exam!
