Grade 2 sight-reading preparation

Joining The Dots Book 2 for piano is split up in to chapters covers all the keys you need to know for your ABRSM piano grade 2 sight-reading test (C, G, F, D majors, A, E, D, G minors). Each chapter introduces a new key, with its ‘Key Features’, a short ‘Workout’, and a ‘Read and Play’ section, with a few short pieces to play to practise sight-reading in that key.  Each chapter also has a ‘Make Music’ section, introducing you to simple improvisation and playing in call and response with a teacher with fun short pieces such as ‘Cheerful Chimp’, ‘Hot Air Balloon’, ‘Scurrying Squirrels’, and ‘Marooned in Space’ - this will get you used to playing in the keys needed in your sight-reading test in your ABRSM Grade 2 Piano Exam.
